Kaju... What?

Kajukenbo Tum Pai (pronounced Kah-Ju-Ken-bow-Tum-Pie) represents one of the four styles within the Kajukenbo system. It was developed by merging effective techniques from Karate, Judo/Jiujitsu, Kenpo, and Kung Fu. The origins of Kajukenbo lie in its creation as a street defense system in the Palama Settlement of Hawaii. Techniques were utilized in real situations, and those that proved effective were integrated into the system, while those that didn't work were discarded.

Our style incorporates elements and principles from Tai-Chi, making it an efficient self-defense technique suitable for individuals of all sizes. Training is based on three core principles: Body, Mind, and Spirit. We focus on conditioning the physical body to respond to threats, enriching the mind with new knowledge and skills, and strengthening the spirit to overcome challenges, often pushing ourselves beyond the limits we impose on ourselves.
