KAJUKENBO TUM PAI
"For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.“ - Rudyard Kipling.
KA Ju...What?
Kajukenbo Tum Pai (Kah Ju Ken bow Tum Pie) is one of 4 styles under the Kajukenbo Arts. It was created using proven combinations of Karate, Judo/Jiujitsu, Kenpo, and Kung Fu. It was developed and tested as a street defense art in the Palama Settlement of Hawaii. Techniques were used on the street and if they were effective then they were kept in the system, if not they were discarded. Our style also blends in the art and principles of Tai-Chi, making it an effective defense art for a person of any size to protect themselves. Training is achieved through the 3 principles of Body, Mind, and Spirit. We train the physical body to react to threats, enhance the mind with new knowledge and education, fortify the spirit to overcome obstacles, and many times push ourselves beyond what we limit ourselves to do or be.
